ABOUT

 

Founded in 2014, The Phlebotomy Institute of Middle Georgia has become the area's premiere healthcare education center.  Currently we offer quality training programs in Phlebotomy Technician, CPR and First Aid, Nurse Aide, EKG, and Patient Care Technician.



Mission Statement

The mission of The Phlebotomy Institute of Middle Georgia, is to prepare students for employment at entry level positions as professional phlebotomist in healthcare settings, and for taking their places as responsible, productive members of their communities.

 

In fulfilling our mission, The Phlebotomy Institute, seeks to inspire our students to be active members within their chosen professions.  We urge students to always remember the important aspects of this profession- to serve as advocates for high quality care of patients.  As we look to the future and our place within a competitive society, we seek to become recognized for the positive product that we produce- Quality Healthcare Professionals.

Our Staff

             Elizabeth Mccane, CPT (ASCP)                                      

I am Mrs. Mccane, I am the Owner and Lead Phlebotomy Instructor. I have over 12 years of experience as a certified Phlebotomist and over 6 years teaching experience in one of Middle Georgia's largest Technical colleges. We are doing our part in rebuilding Macon, Ga. Putting a vocational training center in the middle of the community that teaches valuable skills in healthcare was a no brainer.

             Arthur Mccane, CPR/First Aid, (AHA)

I am Mr. Mccane, I am the Owner and CPR Instructor. I have over 4 years experience teaching with the American Heart Association. I am also the Assistant Clinical Lab Instructor. I enjoy teaching my students the importance of being CPR certified and also teaching the knowledge needed to become a Certified Phlebotomy Technician.

 

 

 

          Kristy Johnson, PHT, MA

I am Mrs. Johnson, I am the Assistant Phlebotomy Instructor. I come to The Phlebotomy Institute with over 13 years experience as a Phlebotomist and Medical Assistant. This includes working in hospitals, doctor offices, and private laboratories. I enjoy drawing blood and sharing my knowledge and experience with others.

           Elizabeth Jenkins, Director, MHRM

I am Ms. Jenkins, I am the Director of Academic Affairs. I come to The Phlebotomy Institute with over 20 years of experience in HR. I look forward to this new and exciting journey.

         

           Allisa McIntyre, Administrative Assistant, A.A

 

I am Mrs. McIntyre, I am the Administrative Assistant. I come to The Phlebotomy Institute with over 15 years of Office management experience. I am excited about my new position and all of the changes that are underway here at the Institution.

             Shekeithia Whitaker, CMA

I am Ms. Whitaker, I am the EKG instructor. I come to The Phlebotomy Institute with over 12 years of healthcare experience. I am looking forward to my new position, and working with our students.
